There are consignment shops, vintage clothing stores, flea markets, garage and yard sales, even church bazaars, so why shop at a thrift store? The answer is simple, because that is where the stuff is. Thrift stores have no set inventory. You can literally find any and everything there. It’s like Russian roulette, sometimes you score and sometimes you come up with nothing, but it’s the odds that keep you on the hunt. Odds that one day you will find that absolute perfect thing you have been searching for for years and at a price you love!
That’s what it really is all about. Finding what you want and at a price you can’t wait to pay. Sure you can find a lot of the things at other (real) stores, but simple math says that for twenty dollars I can go to the mall and buy one thing, but go to the thrift store with that same twenty and you can get dozens of things. You may even find that wondrous thing you never knew you wanted, but once found you realize you have waited your entire life to find it and now your life is complete.
So it boils down to this:
Thrift store shopping is an adventure!
You never know what you may find there!
You never know when you will find that one perfect thing you’ve been searching for!
You never know at what fantastic price you could get it for!
You’ll never know, until you find a thrift store and go inside!
It’s a mystery waiting for you to solve it!
