Cut several 1\4" wide pieces from the fusible web, enough to cover the entire length of the sweatshirt’s edge along the cut portion.  (It's easier to work with shorter lengths.)  Following the manufacture's instructions, fuse to wrong side of the top portion of the white sweat shirt along cut edge.  Using the fuse as a guide, fold over the 1\4" hem and fuse.

Do the same for the right side of the bottom portion of the red shirt.  Using the fuse as a guide, fuse the wrong, hemmed side of the white shirt to the right side of the red shirt.  Draw a line down the center of the fused shirt to use as a guide when painting.

Draw a star pattern onto magic sponge and cut out. (A magic sponge is a flat sponge that takes its shape after soaking in water and can be found in most craft stores.  A regular sponge works as well, but it is much easier to cut the star shape from the flat magic sponge.)  Soak sponge in water.  Place a shirt board or some cardboard between the shirt's layers.  Dip star shaped sponge in some white paint you have squirted out on some scrap cardboard.  Randomly sponge stars onto red half of shirt.  Clean sponge.  Repeat sponging stars, this time
