Don’t worry about the wicks in the melting candles they will stay in the bottom of the pot even when pouring the wax.

As the wax melts, get out 3 wicks and dip ea one (one by one) and place in the center of the candy dish.  This will help keep the wick in place when filling the dish with the melted wax.

Once the wax has melted, use one of the aluminum measuring cups to scoop up the melted wax and the dish.  Let cool then trim the wicks.
To clean the measuring cup and small pot, while still warm, wipe with a paper towel removing
the remaining residue of wax and the wicks from the melted candles.
I spent about $9.00 (I only used 3 of the 12 wicks at 75 cents) and gained a decorative candle/candy dish.  It would look nice on a table as is or surrounded by silk flowers.  It would also make nice gifts, teacher gifts, hostess presents or you could even sell them at craft fairs, E-bay or Esty.
